When it comes to my bread and butter in my record collection, I’ll own up to being kind of a basic bitch; I love good old pop rock vibes, with just sprinkles of punk flair…and that’s right whee The Planes caught me with their new set of jams. Initially, I thought I heard some early-era Weakerthans, but the way the guitars embraced a slight little jangle had me completely hooked on the group’s alt rock leanings. They take that to the bunch when they lay down crunchy riffs and explosiveness in the chorus, all of it leading to a smashing hook that’ll have you turning this track up all weekend long!
