Double A-Side From Teenage Halloween

Teenage Halloween is a band that caught my attention during SXSW with their total raw energy and passion during short 30-40 minute festival sets. Since March I’ve been jamming the bands raucous self-titled debut LP and eagerly anticipating some new tunes. Today my patience has paid off with not one, but two new songs from the band as part of a double A-side release and preview of an upcoming full length follow up. If you are not yet acquainted with the band, get ready for some serious, fun as hell, power pop themed punk tunes. GO!

Teenage Halloween will release their sophomore LP entitled Till You Return on October 20th via Don Giovanni Records. Pre-orders are live now.

New Single & BEER From Dentist

Asbury Park based band Dentist has long been a running staple here on the pages of your friendly ATH music blog. The band has always dropped great music and strived to work their asses off, all while doing things the right way and staying true to their sound and message. In typical fashion, the band couldn’t simply drop this great new single “Let Me Let Go” and call it a day… NO, the band got together with New Jersey based brewing company Last Wave Brewing to pair the track with what sounds like a delicious New England-style India Pale Ale. For those of us who don’t live in the NJ area, the new single and accompanying video will have to suffice. It’s pretty rad.

Dentist will be releasing a new LP of material sometime later this year on Cleopatra Records. Now to see if I can get my hands on some of this beer.

Bright Pop From Dentist

On a dreary Monday, it always helps so give yourself a little big of bright pop music to bring up your moods. Today that inspiration can best be provided by Asbury Park based band Dentist and their new single “Awful”. Though the song lyrics and subject matter seem to be a bit negative, the overall feeling of the song comes across as sunny and infectious. I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
