Beat Radio is a band that I really got into around this time last year with their surprising pop tune “Golden Age”. They continued my fandom with the release of their EP earlier this year Hard Times Go Pt.1. Well not it’s time for part two of the Hard Times Go series and I’m posting a preview of that effort with this new song “Days Like Diamonds”. It’s a bit more of a downtrodden pop tune than what I’m used to from the band, but I dig the more raw feel it brings. You can stream the entire new EP from Beat Radio over on bandcamp.

New Music From Beat Radio

It’s been awhile since we last heard from our friends Beat Radio out of the NYC area. They dropped us a line the other day and sent us links to a new EP entitled Hard Times Go, Part 1 which is available to stream and download for free over on bandcamp. It features this poppy number “Dreaming Wide Awake” and 5 other similar tunes filled with catchy beats.

Hailing from the NYC area, Beat Radio are a band lead by the songwriting skills and hard work of frontman Brian Sendrowitz. Over the last two years, Sendrowitz has compiled 3 full length LPs with many lineup changes making it difficult to maintain a steady flow. To be perfectly honest, I knew little to nothing about this band until they sent me an email with the title track to their recently released Golden Age LP. After the first listen, I was immediately drawn to the creative backing drum beat supporting the song. Now that the track has gotten a few more spins in the ‘ol itunes, I’m impressed with the pop melodies of the song as a whole. The new album from Beat Radio is available for purchase on their bandcamp as a limited edition vinly or digitally.
