More Joyous Pop from Flower Girl

flowergirlSeems like every week Flower Girl keep unleashing hook-laden rock n’ roll in support of their forthcoming release, and as long as it’s as catchy as this one, I’m going to keep kicking out the jams. This track recalls a lot of early 00s indie rock, only taking from those forebears and making things even more fun. Looks to me like these guys are going to bring us all a whole lot of tunes to put on repeat when Tuck In Your Tie-Dye finally hits the streets at the end of this week via BUFU Records.

More Fun Pop from Flower Girl

flowergirlNot too long ago I was writing about how much fun I was having listening to the first single from Flower Girl, and here they are blasting out another catchy number. It’s strange, they have this noisy element hiding in the background of this track, providing a slight edge. But, if I let that slide, it’s just a euphoric number akin to the early works of Surfer Blood. It’s built for singing along, letting yourself go and rocking out with your best friend. Their album, Tuck in Your Tie Dye, will be released by BUFU on November 11th.

Flower Girl Channel 90s College Rock

flowergirlIt seems that all good things circle back again, and much like 90s emo is returning, the college rock of the 90s is also getting some timely love, such as this new track from Flower Girl. I hear elements of the style that Pavement bred, but taking on a more youthful vibe; you can see that natural joy even in the band’s album art. This is the type of tune I loved hearing on the radio (now it’s been replaced by Sublime, still), so we’ve got to give it some love here. Look for the band’s new album, Tuck in Your Tie-Dye, to hit via Bufu Records on November 11th.
