New Music from Cameron Sonnier
If you’re a person who loves the style and craft of a good singer-songwriter, then we hope you’ve been listening as we’ve hyped up Houstonian artist Cameron Sonnier. When listening through to his latest single, there’s something that reminds me a lot of the recent Tony Molina record, albeit done in Cameron’s own style, which fleshes more of the underlying ambiance by texturizing with synthetic structures. It’s the sort of tune that’ll let you sit back and soak in the cozy melodies of Sonnier’s work. Looking forward to hearing more from Cameron in the new year.

When summer hits, there seems to be an infinite amount of music bouncing about these parts, particularly in the Austin scene, as we saw this last week. We had new album announcements from A Giant Dog and Jordan Moser, new singles from Cast of Thousands, Marry Cherry and Genuine Leather; BLK ODYYSY also dropped an album. But, there was still plenty of music outside of Austin we loved, like new stuff from Gaadge, Wombo and Your Heart Breaks. Tons of music to absorb below, so feel free to indulge in all stuff you might have missed.
The last time we heard from
You’d think in a short coverage week, we’d have few tunes, but there was so much great stuff last week, that we couldn’t help but to try and cover as much as we loved. Personally, I fawned over new Lachlan Denton, Cor de Luxand Tiny Ruins, plus continued my support for Spice World as Album of the Year. I also hit up the Austin scene with new stuff from Bayonne, Dorio, Fantastic Purple Spotsand Rad Gnar. RayRay loved that new Pile tune to death and premiered a new Strawberry Fuzz jam you can find lurking in here too. If we missed something super cool, let us know, otherwise, here’s a way to pass an hour of your day, happily.
