Whatever post folk is, I’m not one hundred percent sure, but Jesse Payne has been deemed thus. Citing origins in the Southeastern part of the U.S., his sound blends americana and folk elements as well as these subtle yet enticing vocals. I’m sharing this track with you today from Heirloom, Payne’s upcoming record which is set to be released on August 14th through Capture Music. “Origins,” opens with this infectious guitar riff that spirals out through the track and makes for a simmering folk track.
