Matt Kivel Show Reminder + Stream Escape from LA

Now that my children are a little bit older, trying to get back into the local game and hosting shows more often…and the ATH team is glad to back Matt Kivel‘s Release Show tonight at Community Garden. The show celebrates his new LP, Escape from LA, which is being put out by the good folks at Scissor Tail Records. We don’t always curate shows, but when we do, you know we love something wholly, like Matt Kivel. The artist, currently living in Austin, will release his new long-player, Escape from LA, on December 12th via Scissor Tail Records, so to throw our weight behind his work, we’re sponsoring his show over at Community Garden. You’ll find the record is mostly filled with really gentle ballads, the sort that seems perfectly fitting for a small space like Community Garden. He’ll be joined by several friends playing some short sets, like Alex Dupree, so be sure to come and hang out with us all. Things will kick off around 6:30, with copies of the LP available to buy!
