Club 8 Share Daydreams
When it comes to Club 8, I tend to speak hyperbolically, claiming that each single the group drops is better than the last, putting them on some meteoric rise to pop stardom. Now, with that in mind, this might not be their best (pretty close), but it’s my favorite of the jams they’ve let us have this year (one a month!); it dances on the guitar lines, nearing the brand of pop that made everyone fall in love with Camera Obscura. The vocals are perfectly cooled, hanging in the right spot to maximize the emotional appeal; the energetic push behind those warm notes only makes the song all the more masterful. Thanks to the group for all they’ve shared with us this year!
