Check Out Deathcat
I wish I had brought you news of Deathcat earlier, as I’ve been cranking their DreamGrl EP pretty nonstop this past weekend. The song’s are crunchy and catchy, like the track below, which just soars with a hook-laden chorus. This jam is definitely a love song, and an ode to one’s willingness to give up everything for romance; it’s all packaged brilliantly, with a humdrum lyricism that sounds like Kimya Dawson fronting the best pop-punk band in town. You’re guaranteed a good grin by turning this one up nice and loud. If you’re digging on it, then go grab DreamGrl, which is out now via Sockhead Records.
