The last time we heard from Desert Noises, they were offering up an Americana influenced rocker, but this time around, they remove the elements of Americana (for the most part), instead just offering a powerful rock number. What I like the most about this tune is that it’s got a great melody that it’s centered around. It might appear as just a straight ahead rock tune, but you listen closely and you’ll hear how much the group enjoy getting in on traditional pop music. The band will be releasing their debut 27 Ways in March via SQE Music, followed by a stop at SXSW.

American Rock from Desert Noises

Good jams are good jams, and sometimes they come our way with no guise our pretension. That’s the feeling that I got when I listened to the newest single from Desert Noises. Sure, there’s hints of Americana or folk laying in their work, but by and large this is just a good American pop song, the kind we should be proud people are creating. It’s not manufactured or over-produced; it’s just a jam of a track that makes you feel good. The band’s debut full-length, 27Ways, will be out on the streets in March via SQE Music.

New Music from Desert Noises

As we gear up towards the 2014 releases, here comes news of a band that’s slowly making waves here in the States, Desert Noises. The music on their first single from the upcoming album has the band playing a grassroots Americana stomp, similar to what we’ve come to expect from bands like Cave Singers. Of course, there’s lots more slide guitar work and less gruff qualities, but perhaps that is the cup of tea you’ve been waiting to drink. Their upcoming album is titled 27 Ways, and it’ll see a March release courtesy of SQE Music.
