Certain Times Share Spectral, Release Desire
I have made sure you were more than aware of Desire, the brand new LP from Brooklyn’s Certain Times; today is the actual release day, so we’re celebrating by offering a glimpse of another tune, “Spectral.” When listening through the whole of the record, the band’s brand of synth pop plays with the contrast between the dark and playful sides of the genre, with this new single living more in the darkened side, slowed down by the pulse of the tune. You can see this juxtaposed with a track like “Power,” which holds this incredible bounce that pulses and grooves; it’s like Sleigh Bells, but good!
