New Music From We Were Promised Jetpacks

I was fairly excited yesterday when I caught wind of a new upcoming We Were Promised Jetpacks album.  The new album entitled In The Pit Of The Stomache, is due out later this Fall on October 4th via FatCat Records.  As we wait for that date in anticipation, here’s new slow burning single “Act On Impulse” form the forthcoming LP.  It takes a little while to get going, but when it does, it shows a lot of promise for a young band growing up before our eyes.

New Music From Silje Nes

Silje Nes, for those who don’t know, is an incredible singer songwriter hailing from the land of the Norwegians.  Her debut LP, Ames Room, received considerable praise when it was released in 2008 and created a small buzz for the talented musician.  In 2010 a new release entitled Opticks is planned for a street date on October 12th via Fat Cat Records.  Below you can find new slow burning single “Grass Harp” for your listening pleasure.  Give it a few spins and I bet you’ll be on board with Silje Nes.
