Earlier this year our favorites Alpaca Sports released the indiepop mega-hit album, From Paris with Love via Elefant Records. Today they’re super excited to share with you the video version of album opener, “I’ll Do Anything You Want.” The video has the duo set on film, with that film set atop other images in the background; it’s charming, as is the original track. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for Andreas guitar jangling, not to mention the way the two blend their harmonies into one another. Plus, if you go grab the digital single, it comes with a B side not included on the album version!

Another Playful Indiepop Number from Alpaca Sports

Long time Alpaca Sports fan here; I’m already looking towards Friday’s release of From Paris With Love, the band’s latest album. I appreciate how this seems to have a natural bounce to it, perhaps due to the way that high hat seems to stomp about the entire mix. Of course, the guitars have a solid jangle, and Andreas definitely is starting to sound a lot like Kip Berman…the addition of a nice backing vocal definitely guarantees a pop uptick! The new LP drops on Friday via Elefant, so be sure to get your hands on a copy before they run out.

Alpaca Sports Drop New Single

There’s a new single coming from Alpaca Sports, and we’ll wait patiently as long as they keep teasing us with lovable singles like the new one below. The song works around those jangling guitar sounds, with Andreas singing gently atop, so as not to disturb the track’s natural melody. A wash of keyboard work gives the song a bit more depth, with pronounced piano notes appropriately emphasizing various notes. Those unfamiliar with the group might want to pay attention, particularly if you’ve been into things like PoBPaH as of late; it’s all charm, making us salivate for From Paris with Love, which comes out later this year via Elefant Records.

Brand New Alpaca Sports

For several years I’ve adored Alpaca Sports and their spritely indiepop, so I’m more than excited that they’ve finally got a new LP ready to go for you. In this new single, something’s wrong if the opening guitar lines don’t have you bouncing; you can take cues from the band on the proper indiepop dance steps if you need help. Of course, the band wouldn’t be so delightful if they weren’t spinning lyrics of love and infatuation, like the line “I just need you and summer days in the sun” from this tune. Their new LP From Paris with Love will be released later this year via Elefant Records.
