The band are announcing their new self-titled record for Girlsville Records, offering up this classic rock n’ roll ripper that should guarantee you’ve got your eyes on the prize come this October. When listening there’s clearly the same knack for writing huge hooks that brought Hilken’s name fame early on; she builds this tune with a driving alt-rock guitar line, then turns around and delivers a delicious power hook in the chorus. Plus, there still feels like there’s a whole lot of “take on the world” attitude, reminding us all just how much Hilken brings to the musical world.
