In Love with New Flesh World

I love the forlorn vocals that open the latest single from Flesh World. When it meets the darkened edges of the guitar sounds, it’s like a calling into the ghostly post-punk realm the band have created with this tune here. Still, there’s an undercurrent that warms the ears of the listeners, especially around the 1.5 minute mark where the chant of “poolside boys” comes crashing in. If you enjoy some shredding cacophony to drown out the noisy typer next to your cubicle, then look for The Wild Animals in My Life via Iron Lung Records on June 2nd.

Hints of Darkness from Flesh World

I love when a band describes their sound as a fusion of pent up punk aggression being spun in a pop spectrum, so it makes sense that I fawn over this latest Flesh World track. There’s definitely some discordant noise going on in this track, but they playfully spin that around into a tight knit pop song during the chorus. If you peeled away some of those distorted guitars, you might just have yourself a fancy little pop ditty. It’s the first single on the band’s debut, The Wild Animals in My Life, which is being released on June 2nd via Iron Lung Records.

Total Control Release Another Track

The latest wave of music from Total Control provides another glimpse into their new album, Typical System. It’s a six minute long glittering electronic affair, displaying the poppier side of the band. There’s two sides to the record, and the beat-laden pieces are just as entertaining as the punkier sides. Personally, I like the fact that the band draws this tune out for such a long duration, as it begs you to take notice of the band’s focus on crafting two distinctly differing styles within the confines of the whole LP. Those looking for the heavier side of things need not fret, as every other song offers what you need. You’ll be able to listen to it all on June 24th via Iron Lung Records.

More Rock N’ Roll from Total Control

This is what it’s all about! I love getting a new track from Total Control, and this song is precisely why I’ve grown to love the Aussie band. There’s a steady propulsion of the song, pushed forth by the sound of the guitars, and the vocal delivery. My favorite part of the song is how it slows down, builds things up, then comes crashing back to Earth with the main construction of the song; it happens twice, but you’ll have to listen to get what I’m talking about. Their new album Typical System will be out on June 24th via Iron Lung Records.

New Single from Total Control

If people weren’t aware of what Total Control were doing, then they’re going to surely take notice after listening to this brand new single. The project of Mikey from ECSR is known for providing this dark minimal electronica, spliced with elements of heavier pieces, but here it’s a pretty straight-forward pop hit from the Aussies. If you’re looking for the catchiest moments, you need look no further than the way the chorus is delivered. My favorite thing about the band? You never know what you’re going to get on their releases, but you know it’s always good. They have a new album titled Typical System that will see an early summer release on June 24th via Iron Lung Records.
