Last Week’s Jams (3.3 – 3.7)

Sure, we’ve had our eyes on SXSW as of late, but there were so many great songs coming out, we had to hustle to be sure we got to as many as possible. We covered new stuff from the Gotobeds and Reds, Pinks and Purples, plus we got to highlight longtime favorites like The High Water Marks and Exploding Flowers, just to name a few. We had some quick SXSW interviews with Cloth, Snacktime, Last Waltzon, Two Man Giant Squid and Saint Blonde, so all get a little feature loved today, along with the rest of the weekly bangers. Dive on into the collection below.

Jangus Kangus Drops Double Lives

It’s all about guitars and sunny riffs over here with Jangus Kangus; this song opens up like a fresh blossom on your favorite tree, which I’m hoping coincides with Spring time! The guitar notes on this song danced brightly from the get-go, magically spinning listeners before the vocals join in the party. While there’s some immediacy in this track, I appreciate the way they pull you back and forth, spring you forward with brightness, then pulling you back into a more contemplative realms of dreamy pop goodness. This is just another offering from their forthcoming debut LP, which is shaping up to be a nice ray of sunshine…look for it this April!
