Free Lollapalooza Sampler

With Lollapalooza inching closer and closer, now is a good time to start talking about the festival and some of the bands playing. We couldn’t think of a better way to introduce some bands to the public than with a free sampler from the fine folks at Lollapalooza. The itunes sampler includes hit tracks from festival artists like The Raveonettes, Langhorne Slim, Deerhunter, and a few others. Head to the Lolla site now to get your hands on it. Until then, here’s our favorite track from the playlist, Fleet Foxes single “Mykonos”.

If you’re like me and can’t really justify spending all that money to fly out to Chicago this weekend, you can catch most of Lollapalooza live on the Lollapalooza website. A lot of the mid-range acts from the festival will also be seen at our little ACL festival later in September. Maybe that will make your schedule planning a bit easier? I suggest tuning in first thing tomorrow at 12:15 for the Holy F*ck set. C3 also somehow landed Radiohead AND Rage Against the Machine as headliners but couldn’t get either for ACL. I suggest checking those two out. See the schedule for the event on the festival website. The Go! Team Live

Haven’t heard too much about The Go! Team recently so I was surprised to see that they have a short live set/interview on the Minnesota Public Radio website. The band plays just 3 songs for the radio station but you can download each one for free. The Go! Team will be playing at this weekend’s Lollapalooza festival which ATH will be talking about later.
