More New Music from Radical Dads

One of the bands that really excited me in 2011 was Radical Dads, the Brooklyn group that released Mega Rama this year.  The group’s just put out their Skateboard Bulldog 7“, which features two new excellent songs.  We’ve already tossed up one, and we’ve got the second one to offer you today.  On this number you can hear the cacophonous indie pop just blasting straight at you from the minute the song starts.  For me, it exemplifies everything great about the band; they’re just out there kicking out good solid rock n’ roll in the name of fun.  There’s no tricks, no hidden agenda, just straight up indie pop…of the best sort of course. Pick up the 7” HERE.

New Rocker from Radical Dads

Didn’t these guys just put out a record? Well, if you listened to Mega Rama, you might not know what to think when you get this solid little jam.  It reminds me of the furious moments of Les Savy Fav back in the days of Go Forth, but that’s probably wishful thinking.  The band’s Skateboard Bulldog 7″ will be out later this year, but we’ve got the track to rock you right now.  From the minute it kicks off, it’s geared at rocking you right out of your chair.  Quick and to the point, you won’t be able to catch your breath before this number ends. Well played Radical Dads.

More New Music from Radical Dads

Sorry guys, but I just can’t get enough of Radical Dads. I recently got a hold of their upcoming album Mega Rama, which comes out on June 14th via Uninhabitable Mansions, and I can’t quit playing it.  Their first single “New Age Dinosaur” had a different feel, and on the latest number, you’re going to get a whole arena rock feeling, especially in the vocal department.  Don’t be afraid, as the band manage to blend some indie elements into their anthemic pop rock, so it’s going to be okay for all of us to listen to it.  Be sure to keep an eye on these guys, as this record is full of twists and turns that will keep you both interested and excited after every play.  Love it.

New Single from Radical Dads

A month or so ago I tossed out a track from Radical Dads, a new up-and-comer who had caught my ears.  They had released a few tracks/singles, but now they’re premiering the first track from their upcoming album Mega Rama, which comes out June 14th via Uninhabitable Mansions.  This song has this cascading pop element, rising and falling all the way to it’s end.  Vocals have a bit of youthfulness, even when the screech of the climactic moment joins the track.  If this is any sign of what we can expect from Rad Dads, then sounds like we’re in for an enjoyable record we’re all sure to love.

New Music from Radical Dads

Who could imagine that these two unassuming lads would make such potently driven music? Well, luckily, we’ll all get to experience that a bit more, as Radical Dads plan to release their debut Mega Rama on Uninhabitable Mansions on June 14th.  Recently, they tossed out their Reckless 7″, which features the track below, and you can grab those all for free over at the group’s page.  Listening to those guys sort of reminds me of the vocal moments of No Age, you know, if you got rid of all that extra bit of atmospheric noise that permeates the latter band.  Looks promising if you ask me.
