Every hipsters favorite hip-hop artist Del Tha Funkee Homosapien is making yet another stop in Austin at The Mohawk on Saturday night.  Del’s got a huge crew with him including DJ Maseo, Nottz, DJ Harry Chronic Jr., and DJ Jeff Jupiter all opening things up.  Twenty bucks for all that music should be a good option for your Saturday night.

An old school favorite of the ATH crew Matt Pond PA are making their way over to the outside stage at Mohawk on Monday evening.  The now veteran act will be joined by Wintersleep and Woolgather.  I haven’t been a huge fan of the band’s latest material, but I’m sure they can still put on a solid show.

You’ve got a great opportunity to see a legend in an intimate setting with a set by Lou Barlow on the inside stage at Mohawk.  He’ll be joined by up and coming local acts Sarah Jaffe and Danny Malone.  I wouldn’t pass up this sweet show.  We’ve also got a new track from Lou called “Losercore” which is featured on a new EP from him and The Missingmen.

Mind Of Adi Residency Series @ Mohawk (6/9)

Adi continues his residency series this week at the Mohawk on Wednesday night with some sets by a few great local bands.  This week, he’s brought in The Frontier Brothers, Seaholm Electric, and and Invisible Inks.  You can also expect some great DJ sets, food specials and prizes to be given away.  I can’t wait to see if this Seaholm Electric band can deliver on their surprising new debut LP.

We mentioned recently that San Marcos amigos This Will Destroy You are currently working on a new album set for release later this summer.  The guys are also about to kick start a massive tour and have a send off show planned for Thursday night at The Mohawk.  St. Louis band The Life and Times and fellow Austinites Low Line Caller will be on hand to prep you for the headlining act.  Trust me, you’ll want to see this band live before they start playing huge sold out venues in the future.

Oh man oh man.  Don’t you just love living in this city?  When I see things like huge indie band Of Montreal playing at a smaller venue like Mohawk, I just get all warm and tingly inside.  Hopefully you already got your tickets to this sold out show on Sunday or you’ll be stuck  scalping for a good time.  The visually and musically pleasing band will have opening support from Noot D’Noot and a solo set by James Husband.  Try to make your way to the inside stage as well for a set by hot locals Mother Falcon.

Besnard Lakes @ Mohawk (5/18)
