Lush Electronic Track From Night Beds

11401560_919869138052336_291989132081755817_nAs we await the release of Night Beds‘ newest album, Ivywild, which is due out in a few short weeks, we’ve been graced with a great track from that album that has plucked my interest for this band once again. “Corner,” is a pleasant little balance of cool electronic elements and warm vocal performance from Winston Yellin. Whereas the prior tracks I’ve heard from this group were big and seemingly impersonal, though still right jams, this one is an electronic groove that retains the personal aspect to it. The subtle touches in production help fully flesh it out, and I’m excited to see what the rest of Ivywild has in store for us. Grab it from Dead Oceans on August 7th or preorder it here.

Minimalist Electro Pop From Night Beds

Nashville’s Winston Yellin has made the drastic switch from indie rock to electronically driven music under his project Night Beds, as the last single I shared with you a while ago showed us. “Tide Teeth,” takes us down this electro-pop road even further, and Yellin lets his vocals be the center stage of this song and the synth sounds waft in and out. While the track starts slow, it definitely builds to a more exciting finish.

New and Different Night Beds

Night Beds, the moniker of Nashville’s Winston Yellen, has previously been known for his guitar driven tunes. Now,  it’s been a year since Yellen has released any music under this name, and so he’s offering you a completely new direction for your listening ears. It’s got this silky electronic vibe to it that has already gotten stuck in my head after a few listens. This is not the kind of tune that usually pulls me in, but I feel like changing it up, so I’m throwing this your way. The title alone is really enough to pull anyone into a track: have a listen to “Me Liquor & God” below.
