Stream Poised to Flourish from Tres Oui

You know we’re going to back up our friends in Tres Oui, especially since I’m completely in love with the album. We’ve already shared tracks “Seance” and “Red Wine and Dry Ice,” which have gone over well with the masses, but there’s even more to be served up on Poised to Flourish. A few months ago, I was talking to Nate from the band about my favorite track; I told him it was “Song 4 U,” but have since changed to “Shy.” You see, that’s the great thing about this LP; there really isn’t a single bad song on it. Grab it from Shrimper on Friday.

Check the New Tres Oui Tune

Obviously we’re big Tres Oui fans, and we’ve been fortunate enough to get several spins through their forthcoming LP, Poised to Flourish. Today, the band dropped one of the album’s standout tracks, “Red Wine and Dry Ice.” My favorite bit about this song centers on the track’s chorus; Nate delivers a lightning quick mini-verse, ending with the song’s title. But, just as “dry ice” comes through your speakers your met with a rush of distorted guitars as Nate takes on more of a croon. It’s a special moment, both on the record, and in the band’s live performance. You can pre-order their LP from Shrimper Records right HERE.

Brand New Tres Oui Tunes

Our friends in Tres Oui (remember when we put out their EP this year) are moving up the label chain, landing over on Shrimper for the release of their debut LP, Poised to Flourish. Today the band dropped the first single, which is one of the liver favorites for me. Tight drumming opens way for the angling guitar lines and Nate’s warm vocals to calmly ride the wave created by guitarist Stevsie Garcia. Bouncing grooves, infectious hooks and enough energy to keep your feet tapping throughout. Look for the LP on February 9th of next year.
