New To You: Rheya
On occasion, when looking for new tunes to share with you all, I find a song that’s more than a few days old that’s simply too good to ignore. Such was the case when I stumbled across Swedish band Rheya and their soft, yet gorgeous dream pop. As soon as you press play on “Franchise,” you’ll understand; the sound that comes out of your speakers will remind you of an even dreamier and lusher Wild Nothing. Simply put, I’ve had this song on repeat all day and it’s time you did too: the balance of each music element melts into each other seamlessly and with such allure that it’s impossible not to sway/shimmy along with this tune.
