Another Track from Shabason, Krgovich and Tenniscoats

The on-going project of Shabason, Krgovich and Tenniscoats has provided me with this solace amidst the storm that is my life at the moments; it’s a reminder to breathe and observe. Each note seems carefully placed, as if tip-toeing through the streets presented in the video, allowing the listener to quietly watch on as we chase our own pursuits. Whilst the majority of the tune’s we’ve heard have dwelled in the Tenniscoats vocal world, this one has a mixture, building a layer of anticipation that will surely be rewarded if we latch onto the patience presented in the craft. Look for Wao this Friday via Western Vinyl.

Shabason, Krgovich and Tenniscoats Cover MBV

We previously brought you the first single from the forthcoming Wao LP, a joint effort between Shabason, Krgovich and Tenniscoats, and today we’ve got another, as no one can escape the draw of covering My Bloody Valentine. Honestly, the structure of the tune itself is pretty spot on, in terms of pacing and overall ebb and flow; I think that in their own way, however, they add a brightness. Where as the original can feel heavy and drenched, there’s a clarity to this cover, particularly in the vocals themselves, lifting the song in this ethereal fashion that brings it closer to the listener. There’s a new level of beauty to this song, and I think that makes the coverage all the more meaningful. Wao is out August 29th via Western Vinyl.
