Lost Track from The Ocean Blue
I wonder how many bands out there have “lost tracks”? I’m sure it’s hard to sit down in a studio and see what fits with the feeling of an album, but I’m definitely glad that The Ocean Blue offered up this lost gem from their early years on Sire Records. This track celebrates a band that’s been knocking around since the 1980s, and celebrates their hard work with their first label; they’ll be re-releasing those first three albums on vinyl today. Whether its the production or the influence of their sound, but I can definitely see this track fitting nicely inside some modern indie rock playlists…they were just another band clearly ahead of their time. Grab those re-issues from Shelflife or Korda today!
