The Chop Prepare Third Window EP
Apologies to Andrew and Gemma of Dancer for getting this up a week later than I should have, but I’m here now to cover their new single from the Chop. Just last week they announced they’d be sailing into summer with a brand new collection of tunes for Lost Sound Tapes (another of my personal favorites). This is a fairly minimalist approach, with the careful construction of synths and light percussion serving as the distant backdrop while Gemma parades her stellar pipes in the front of the mix. It’s that blend of bedroom pop and slow-core that enchants folks like me, so I’ll be sure that their Third Window EP gets some love on my end; it drops on April 24th.
