Stella is getting her groove back, or at least I am. Managed to get my feet underneath me a little bit this past week, so we’ve got a pretty decent amount of tracks to represent. Threw out a couple of premieres for the homies at Feel It Records, with new No Peeling and Fan Club dropping this week. Turned around and dropped some Austin love for Skloss and Whisper too, which is always a goal. Really enjoyed my own introduction to the tragic story of Stroik, with a powerful tune you should put on your radar. Nice to see some favorites on the dial too like Sharp Pins and Frog. But man, this Happy Dust Gang tune in here is just my jam!

New Single from Tilde

Let’s tiptoe into Wednesday with a little track from Sweden’s Tilde, whom we’ve covered on our end before. There’s a new album from the singer on the horizon, and this old school style of pop will have you swooning, at least if you’re a living human. The arrangement is pretty sparse throughout, with some ghostly backing vocals and a steady bass line walking the tune atop the snappy snare playfulness. Tilde’s voice has this unique little quiver to it, kind of faint on the back end of each syllable, and as such, it leaves you with this sublime charm that will surely have you interested enough to keep Little Girl Blue on your radar; it drops at the end of October.

Last week was a rather busy one on our end, and I remember Wednesday giving me headaches in terms of what all we could cover. Alas, we had to start this week’s jams coverage off with the latest from Allo Darlin‘, who announced their first LP in some time. There was definitely some post-punk vibes cooking with acts like Artificial Go and Teethe dropping super cool new tunes that I couldn’t stop playing around our little house in the burbs. Had some old regulars pop up too, like Strawberry Whiplash and Welcome Strawberry; it was a strawberry themed week I supposed. You’ll also find some super cool oddball tunes too from the likes of Kilynn Lunsford and Vov Vov! Get it all below:

Tilde Releases Light of My Life

We deserve more music that feels like magic, which is where Swedish songwriter Tilde comes into play. She’s been releasing teases of a new record, with her latest operating as this striking chanteuse that calls you to her work. When you first press play, the song is stripped down, Tilde working atop a light strum with a little ambient buzz quivering in the distance; you’ll love her smoky tones as they glitter and sparkle from inside your speakers. If you’re patient, or completely enraptured, you’ll hear a slight bounce to the song, adding in some percussive elements deep beneath the tune, lifting the track by adding in layer after layer of texture. I just kept finding myself lost in this track, so it all seemed too perfect not to share with you.
