Swansea Sound Share Christmas Single

Every year around this time, our email inbox is flooded with indie rock Christmas covers and various holiday delights, but the only one that matters is this new Swansea Sound Christmas Single. They’re not here to redo your caroling routine, brandishing their own witticisms and crunchy riffs, continuing to work on the interplay between Hue and Amelia. While they enjoy a little bit of poking fun, that vocal melody from Hue that slides into the chorus is absolutely spot on. This single comes with B-Side “Dreamland” too, with lots of various purchase options, including one that comes packaged with their latest LP, Twentieth Century!

Swansea Sound Share Paradise Video

As soon as you press play on the new Swansea Sound LP, you’re instantly greeted with the upbeat charms of “Paradise.” Today, the band share a brand new video for the track, highlighting the digital nature alluded to in the lyrical content. The video is created by Malcolm Neon using filmed footage from Welsh TV show, Paid Gadael Fynd; it’s sort of a grainy video playing between shadow and light, sort of commentary on the human experience as a whole. Enjoy watching the video, and once you’ve immersed yourself in the joyous pop vibes, be sure to grab Twentieth Century from Skep Wax!

Swansea Sound Share Keep Your Head On Video

Indiepop supergroup Swansea Sound will have a new record out later this year, so in the meantime they’re here to encourage your fandom by sharing their latest single. In contrast to their debut album Live at the Rum Puncheon, this song seems a bit more stationary, playing up the vocal interplay between Amelia and Huw rather than rocking with a frantic pace. There’s definitely a stomping bit that comes with the chorus, as they’re every-bit a rock band, but you can feel the natural swing in the songwriting, bringing about a sweeter bit of movement. Also, looks like they’ve expanded the lineup to include a certain Bob Collins; he seems real cool. They’ll release Twentieth Century this September via their Skep Wax label!
