New Rocker from X Ray Eyeballs

It’s been a busy few years for XRay Eyeballs, the project of several members of Golden Triangle; they released a full-length, a 7″, and now they’re back with a new album titled Splendor Squalor.  Their new effort will come out on February 28th via Kanine Records, and you know we’ll be supporting this group.  If you’re looking to make a musical connection, think of The Kills with a mid-70s Max’s Kansas City vibe to it; it’s fueled by bits of garage rock with hints of sexuality tied into it. These guys always make for a great listen, so get on it now.

New Song from Xray Eyeballs

A few months back we brought you news of Xray Eyeballs, a project featuring OJ from Golden Triangle, but now there’s a new track out there, thanks to MOKB, just before the band’s release of their record Not Nothing, which will hit stores net week via Kanine Records. Listening to this track, I definitely am digging the way it trudges along, slowly building towards the eventual musical release.  It’s a less immediate track than others we’ve heard, giving us the impression that Not Nothing will definitely have all sorts of things to offer its listeners.  Just you wait and see.

New Music from Xray Eyeballs

Everyone seems to have their favorite style of punk or new wave or garage or whatever, but Brooklyn’s Xray Eyeballs seem to have all of that in mind when crafting their songs, that and a touch of down-trodden temperament.  The songs could easily go double time on your turn table and sound like run of the mill garage punk, but in this time, they just sound like your party ran out of beer, and you lost all your money gambling on beer pong.  Luckily, you can add this to the late night soundtrack of your life on April 19th when Kanine Records release the band’s full length, Not Nothing, to the rest of the world.  I’d write more, but I’m sort of bummed from listening to this track, in a good way of course.
