Darker Pop From Cultfever

11205106_892837817449847_8832821402702695166_nI’ve been rather enjoying this new tune “Youth” by Brooklyn based group Cultfever.  It’s a nice bit of pop music with synth heavy beats, and a dash of darkness to provide some mystery and intrigue to the song.  For now, you can stream the tune for free on soundcloud, but you can purchase it on June 2nd via all major digital outlets.  Happy Monday.

Summer Dance Jam From Wild Cub

Wild-Cub1As summer sadly begins to draw to a close, Wild Cub are here with a brand new dancey number that can help us hold on to those last few remaining moments.  The track, entitled “Blacktide”, is chock full of some great dance party inducing beats along with perfect lyrics reminding us of young love.  Seems like a perfect fit for summer love and fun.  This is the first taste of new material from the band since the release of their debut LP Youth last year.  No word just yet on if the band have plans for a new album sometime soon.

New Dance Jam From Wild Cub

I’m really feeling this new tune called “Wild Light” from Nashville based outfit Wild Cub.  It’s a fun little song that’s a nice and bright way to get your day started.  I’m sure it will also be appearing on our next council meeting playlist (stay tuned for info on that BTW).  A debut LP from this new group Youth will be out August 14th on Big Light Recordings.

Stream Paul McCartney’s Latest

Paul McCartney’s latest project, The Firemen, have a new album out called Electric Arguments and you can stream the whole thing now on the NPR websiteThe Firemen is an electronic duo started in 1993 by McCartney and Killing Joke founding member, Youth (Martin Glover). This new album is the first time the duo has utilized vocals and apparently has a more “traditional” sound. Is the new project worth our time?
