New Music From Twilight Singers

After a long absence with music under his Twilight Singers moniker, Greg Dulli is returning with the band in 2011 for a new album entitled Dynamite Steps.  The album will be hitting stores on February 15th via the legendary Sub Pop Records.  Until then, fans can check out this brand new track 5 years in the making “Blackbird & The Fox”.  Enjoy.

Fun Fest Interview: Delorean

Funx3 Fest is now over and we can all make our collective sad face to show our displeasure towards the situation.  It was yet again a great weekend of music and fun was had by all.  Prior to the weekend, we had the chance to sit down with Spanish pop band Delorean and talk a bit about their band.  We spoke with band member Ekhi Lopetegi about the current state of his band and how they celebrated the Spanish victory this summer.  Follow the jump for full interview

New Shearwater Album “Enron”

Austin’s very own Shearwater have just put up a new album for sale on their Band Camp site entitled Enron.  The album is all instrumental and focuses on the “experimental” side of the band.  Let’s just say you’ll probably want to have a listen to a few songs before you spend any money on this thing… Shearwater is also currently on a long tour of the east coast with Damien Jurado, so watch out New England kids!

New Music from The Parties

It should be no surprise that The Parties hail from San Francisco.  They’ve got that psychedelic pop sound, with those angular guitars that seem to emit the sunshine of California.  Their new album Coast Garde is just now hitting the streets, and if you’re just looking for something with a classic pop spin, then you’ve come to the right place.  The entire album is full of non-chalant pop goodness, sure to keep your toes tapping, though not too forcefully.  Enjoy a little sunshine today folks.

New Music from The Limes

If you’re looking for news on that transcontinental outfit, then you’re looking for the wrong group.  If, however, you’re a fan of bands like Sonny and the Sunsets you’ve definitely stumbled across some deliciousness. The Limes recently released their latest album Rhinestone River on Goner Records.  For some reason, they’re not getting a lot of love, perhaps because of the name confusion.  Still, one listen to this track here, and you’ll probably see all sorts of similarities with the modern world.  Come on, give these guys a chance, and get down with me and my imaginary Memphis friends.

New Music from Patrick Wolf

Patrick Wolf is a magnificent genius.  Everything he’s done has fascinated me, on various levels, but always involving his music.  He’s set to release a new single in December titled “Time of My Life.”  The track is a bit of a personal narrative, reflecting on a crumbling relationship.  I’m hoping the release of his new material means that his sequel to The Bachelor, which you need, is soon to hit the streets. Please be true.
