Pardoner Announce Peace Loving People
Pardoner dropped Came Down Different in 2021, receiving tons of great reviews, deservedly, and I hear even more praise coming for their new album, Peace Loving People. This fresh banger is certain to catch on with the kids, as the distortion rings appropriately, supported by these huge power pop rock riffs and these lackadaisical vocal lines delivered in a haphazard manner. But, it’s all a set up. Just as the song seems to sedate the listener, it rips into action at the 1:36 mark, tearing through your speakers with this terrorizing rage of bombast and speed; you’re likely going to be shocked at the dramatic switch, but you’ll be better off for it! The new LP is out on June 23rd via Bar None Records,with a big old tour kicking off the first week in July throughout the US of A.

This summer
There was a ton of great music dropping last week, which seems to be the norm for this Spring…not that we mind one bit. I tried to give some love to our Austin friends like Jana Horn and Letting Up Despite Great Faults, who both dropped new releases…and new tunes from Batty Jr. and Born Twins too, so keeping the ATX alive. It was good to hear new stuff from Estonia’s Pia Fraus, who’ve always crafted great landscape shoegaze. New stuff from Cindy and Beach Fossils wasn’t a bad way to slide into the week either, but we closed it out with a fun feature between My Favorite and Holy Wire. Check it all out.
