Captain Starlet Share Self-Portrait Single

We’ve been relying upon the good folks over at Safe Suburban Home Records to bring us great pop hits from the UK over the last few years, and they’ve got a great new AA single for your ears from Captain Starlet. The lead single, “Self-Portrait” here definitely recalls a very British sound, think of Teenage Fanclub without some of the fuzzier edges; I love how the chorus changes the direction, bringing in more of a classic pop rock sound. “Running Water” is a bit lighter, almost channeling a bit of surf rock in the strum of the guitars; the vocals also take on that light mist that washes upon you while you dip your toes in the seas.
