Check Out Dallas Friends Kyoto Lo-Fi

Sometimes we can all use a little bit of feel good indie pop music with dashes of garage rock right? If that sounds like your sort of bag, this new single “Godot” from Dallas based Kyoto Lo-Fi should be right up your alley. Imagine if you will a band mixing some vocal and guitar elements of The Strokes with pop tendencies like Devo. Fans of the sound can check out more music from our Texas friends over on their bandcamp page.

Minimalistic Pop From Still Parade

What’s left for us to say about Berlin based Niklas Kramer and his project know as Still Parade? Likely not much as we’ve posted his music on multiple occasions and even interviewed him a time or two. That aside, the guy is continuing to pump out some incredible music and I’m excited to share his latest single today called “Should Have Known”. What you’ll find is a very minimalistic take on electronic pop music. With such a pared down song, you wouldn’t expect to find such beauty, but Niklas continues to impress with his unique take on songwriting. Carry on.

Still Parade will drop the Kindness EP on December 15th.

Real Banger From Table Scraps

Man when things get busy around here, they really get busy. I’ve been pushing through quite a hectic time with the ol real job recently, but I can always find some time to publish new rock n roll tunes. Today I’m back on the wagon with this real banging garage rock tune called “Sick of Me” from Birmingham, UK based band Table Scraps. This thing is basically a simple, straightforward rock number similar to something you might hear from Ty Segall or the like. You shall enjoy.

Table Scraps will release Autonomy on February 3rd via Zen Ten Records.

Vansire Return With a Hit

When Minnesota based Vansire release a new song, you can be sure the ATH boys will be posting it. What’s most impressive to me, is how the band can manage to reinvent themselves in the dream pop genre with each and every song they send us. Take for example this new single “Halcyon” which brings more of a Mac Demarco meets chillwave vibe to it. I can assure you this band will continue to gain popularity and will be a household name in the indie world soon. When’s that full length dropping dudes?

Have Some Fun With Strange Names

Drudging my way through an insane week leaves me in need of some upbeat music I can dance and sing along to. If you are in the need of the same, look no further than this delightful new track “Into Me” from NYC via Minneapolis based band Strange Names. Seriously, this thing is a fun piece of dance inducing beats with elements of electronica, disco and of course pop. I dare you need to stand up and move to the beat. Double dare.

Strange Names will release a new album of tunes sometime in 2018.

The She’s Drop New Video

Much has been said on ATH about San Francisco indie rockers The She’s over the last couple of years or so. It’s clear we are fans right? I’m continuing our fandom of the band with this sweet new single and video for “Sorry”. I love how this band can trick you into thinking this is going to be just simple, sort of upbeat indie rock song, but then they drop in a bridge about 2.5 minutes in with some heavily distorted guitars and power. Check it out below.

The She’s drop all female rock and roll quartet on November 17th via Empty Cellar Records.

Chillwave From Pro Teens

What a perfect day for a little chillwave/slacker pop music right? On this gloomy Tuesday morning, you’re sure to find some enjoyment in this track “Tulsa” from Phoenix based outfit Pro Teens. The guitars are slow, methodic, and full of haze. Add in some perfectly timed drum beats and shiny vocals and you’d have a nice description of “Tulsa”. Check it out.

Pro Teens will release the Philistines EP on NOvember 3rd via Broken Circles.

The Go! Team Still Got It

It’s been an incredibly long time since I last heard anything from The Go! Team camp. I definitely bought the reissue of Thunder, Lightning, Strike on vinyl from a couple years ago, but the group have flown mostly under the radar for the last several years. Today I’m pleased to share with you this new single and video for track “Semicircle Song” which can best be described as sounding a hell of a lot like The Go! Team. I forgot how much I used to really love this band… I think the relationship is being mending with this fun new track.

The Go! Team will release Semi-Circle on January 19th. You can pre-order in just about all formats here.

Love This New Track From Friendship

It’s hump day and it’s time for something a little bit different. Today that comes by way of this new single “Skip to the Good Part” from Philadelphia based outfit Friendship. Something about the way leading man Dan Wiggins spouts off incredible line after incredible line over a meandering bit of beautifully composed music has really spoken to me this morning. No comparisons, it’s just a damn good song.

Friendship will release Shock Out of Season on November 3rd via Ordinal Records.

Banger From Oh Joy

Man of us here at ATH have a soft spot in our hearts for Irish bands and the incredible music they’ve created in the indie world. Make a quick search for something like Ireland, Irish, or Dublin and you’ll see what I’m talking about. My latest Dublin, Ireland obsession comes by way of this song “So Swell” from Oh Joy. It’s like some of the best rising bits of WWPJP clashed with the brooding moments of early 90s alternative rock. Sounds wild, but you will definitely enjoy yourself.
