Sub Pop kids Happy Birthday are making a stop in town this Friday at United States Art Authority.  Making the show more enticing, recent Hardly Art signee and locals Woven Bones will also be on the stage.  Rounding things out and opening the show up for everybody are Residual Echoes.  Should be a great option to see some good music on the cheap Friday night.

Andy Warhol’s Birthday @ Mohawk (8/6)

In celebration of Andy Warhol’s B-day, our friends over at Massive Beacon, KVRX, Do512, Ultra8201, and Bird’s Barbershop teamed up for a sweet event at Mohawk on Friday night.  Music for the evening is provided by Ringo Deathstarr, Prayer for Animals, Politics, Hatchet Wound, and the Team Fabrication DJs.  You can also expect a photo booth by Trevor Ray, food from Frank, live screen printing from Twin Villain, and Warhol themed decor.  Head to Do512 for more info. on this crazy event.

Here We Go Magic have another show planned in Austin this Wednesday night at Emo’s.  Seems like these guys have been stopping in town a lot over the last couple years so I’m glad to see up and comers Beach Fossils also on the bill.  Oh No Oh My will be opening up the night.

Maps & Atlases is a recent discovery we’ve really been getting into, so we’re happy to see the group making a stop in Austin at Emo’s tonight.  The band is also playing a free Waterloo in-store @ 5pm with the always nice free beer.  Joining the boys on the Emo’s stage you’ve got blog buzz band Cults and The Globes.  I doubt you’ll find a better show in town tonight.

The Happen-Ins @ Emo’s (7/23)
