Brand New Baker Island EP
We first hit upon Newcastle outfit Baker Island last Spring with their Stone Age Riot LP, and they’ve already followed that up with a brand new collection of tunes for your ears. Love Eggtually is streaming officially today, and we’ve got a couple of the tunes we’d like to share with you, just in case you were light on sweet jams today. We’ve got the title track, which teases you with a subtle opening before bounding off into joyous brand of solidly squiggly pop jams. You can also twist on down the line to the longest tune, “Champion’s Visit,” which has this bright stomp to it that’s highlighted by this seemingly rushed pop punk style vocal that opens up to a soaring bit of drama. Their ability to captivate and keep it going over 7 minutes alone is a special move. If these two tracks whet your whistle, then stream the whole of Love Eggtually right HERE.

We were really stoked to see our Internet pal Matt Kivel, currently of Austin, drop a single form his forthcoming LP, so that, of course, shows up. Then there’s just quality hit after hit, with Diles Que No Maten and Twin Shadow and Vilde and Devin Shaffer (sorry for the polysyndeton). There’s a little bit for you all!
I know this hit the other day, but really loved the newest single from
