Australian power-pop anyone? If you know me, you knew I’d jam this one with that tag-line alone. Luckily for Wesley Fuller he seems to have the chops to pull it off with his latest hit. This is what pop music has always sounded like; it’s filled with crisp guitar chords and banging drums built around the song’s hook. Fuller’s got a pretty pristine voice too, allowing him to cut through your ears with insatiable sugar; I mean that little keyboard solo and that semi-New Pornographers nod? Look for his debut album Inner City Dream to drop on September 22nd via 1965 Records.

70s Nostalgia Rocker From Man & The Echo

Man & The Echo are a four piece out of Warrington, England, who blend a mix of new and old influences to create their own style of rock. They’ve got a new single out, called “Vile as You Want” which is below, and it’s three minutes of good old fashioned rock and roll.I’m getting an Arctic Monkeysmeets late 70s rock and roll vibe here; the vocals are hazy and battle the gritty guitars for control of the track. It’s a great way to kick through your Wednesday. Go on and take a listen, and be sure to look out for the physical release of the single on March 11th via 1965 Records.
