Pleased to Meet You: Corner Suns

cornersonsI’ve been fans of Corner Suns previous acts, so I’ll happily dig on what the duo of Brandon Carr (the Earlies) and John Dufilho (Apples in Stereo) offer with this new adventure. Our first listen has this brooding bit of experimental pop, opening with a darkened guitar line and a tinkering piano as the vocals echo in from the distance. There’s definitely a hint of psychedelia too, which isn’t a bad thing, especially as they bring in the pop underbelly throughout. Both these guys were involved incredible bands, so hearing this, I expect nothing but the best when they release their self-titled debut on January 13th.
