It’s that time of year folks…the time of year when Austin gets treated to the weird and the exhilarating…pretty much for the entirety of October…then it goes back to just being South Congress. This Saturday, Margin Walker is bring you Bill Ball 2 over at Sidewinder, and this line-up is pretty ridiculous: Big Bill, Deep Time, US Weekly, Basketball Shorts, Masculine Pain, Mom Jeans, Que Pasa and more…full details found HERE.

Plus…the show will also be a celebration of the new Big Bill 7″ featuring “Every City” and “Food Chain.” We’re putting it out via ATH Records, so if you can’t make it to the show, grab it HERE.

Big Bill is Everywhere!

Man…the Big Bill ride never stops, never slows down. Friday, the band streamed their brand new Every City/Food Chain 7″, which we’re very excited to release. You can grab it HERE, or stream it below. But, because they want to work hard to make sure our city doesn’t suck, they’re also organizing a really great Bill Ball 2 for you to enjoy this Saturday at Sidewinder. Despite the busiest schedule, the band managed to organize a promotional video for you as well (Find it HERE)! And guess what? We’ve got it all here, today! ATX Weekend Show Preview

ACL Festival is still in town, still going down. But, we’re letting B. Gray get the glory for our team with his camera work. Still, despite the attraction there, you’ll find tons of really incredible local shows you need to attend, including some great album releases by some of Austin’s best (in my opinion anyways). With all the buzz about Austin music dying and what not, I think it’s interesting to note that there have been a ton of like-minded individuals coming out to create their own curated shows. We did ATX Popfest, Raw Paw had the Alien Zine, Vegas has Good Vibrations and now there’s the Bill Ball at Swan Dive on October 9th. These things have always been around, but they seem to be gaining prominence as people try to create a sense of community here in town.
