Uni Boys Drop I Don’t Believe In Love

I really just want to hang out and listen to Uni Boys all day long. At times, the group can be punchy and garage-y, sort of like an Exploding Hearts adjacent act. But, then the group can turn on the absolute charms and bang out a hook like no one else; its the sort of hook-laden pop rock that lets you and your mom share in the joy of the world. With all their power-pop charms, you know there’s going to be a fiery solo, and it drops around 2:38 if you’re on the hunt. Sometimes we all just want to lay about and have some fun with our rock, which is why I’m fulling back the band’s Buy This Now LP, out on October 13th via Curation Records.

I’m so glad that power-pop is making a full on come-back nowadays. Walking the line between anthemic arena-rock hooks and high-octane riffs is right up my alley. Cali’s Uni Boys are currently one of the best at bringing back they style, and their latest video rocks this infectiousness that begs for you to turn things way up in the speakers and let loose. There’s little vocal hiccups in the syllable delivery, reminding me of a more polished Joey Ramone, with the rest of the group adding in their backing voice to really pump up the savory flavor here. Plus, the video makes it seem like they’re having a ball, which make the group all the more endearing. They’ll drop Buy This Now! on October 13th via Curation Records.

Uni Boys Share Another Jam

My dudes in Los Angeles based outfit Uni Boys have really been hitting me with some sweet jams recently, both with single “I Want it Too,” and now this new track “Two Years.” It’s honestly just a straight JAM in the vein of indie, or even a twee sort of pop sound. Having already listened to it 3 times this morning, I can assure you that it will warrant multiple repeat plays as you ease into the afternoon.

As we sometimes get the label as the dudes who post nothing but sad bastard tunes, it’s refreshing when we can get a nice dose of indie rock for a Monday morning. Today my lil nugget of indie rock delight comes by way of this track “I Want it Too” from the Los Angeles based outfit Uni Boys. It blends just enough pop tones with some straight classic, jangly rock guitars to offer one heck of a catchy tune. Let it brighten your Monday mood.

Uni Boys will release this track as part of a new album entitled Buy This Now! which is due out on October 13th via Curation Records.
