This bop bounced through the other day, but I missed it, mostly due to just being generally overwhelmed by the world as a whole. But, I love the world TR/ST is creating on the newest LP, which drops on Friday by the way! Early works were marked by this almost club banger sensation, but from what we’ve heard, there’s more attention being given to shadowy elements of the club…the dark corners, unlit patios, bathrooms, etc. It gives a little bit of life to those edges, offering up a nice beat element that continues to unfold as the angelic vocals drift throughout the room. For some reason, there just feels like a bit of isolation resonates here, but in that, there seems to also be comfort, like you’re okay if you find yourself dancing alone. And you are. Look for Performance this Friday via Dais.
