Friday’s push you to the weekend. And weekend’s are for fun. So you’ve got to have some fun music to kick that off, right? I think this tune from NYC Darlings will do just the trick. There’s a guitar chord that rings in your ears, while the vocals push the hook to the max; it’s just the right level of fun, though not in a cheesy fashion. You’ll be able to find this tune on Feel Better, which is being issued by Wild Canary Records on January 20th, making that a busy day with tons of hits scheduled for that release date.

Kick Friday off with Darlings

It’s Friday. Those in the ATX, and probably the rest of the world, have been bundled up, so we likely need some energy to get up and go today. This new track from Darlings seems perfectly fitting, offering a solid guitar line that adds spirit to your day; I personally enjoy the noodling and discordant chords that are picked near the end of the song. Your day’s going to get better, so join us in our first listen to the band’s latest work; it is in preparation for their Feel Better LP, which is coming out on January 20th via Wild Canary Records.

New Slacker Pop From Darlings

Here’s a new tune via soundcloud called “Nothing I Don’t Care For” by way of Brooklyn based Darlings. It’s a self-described slacker pop tune that’s been resonating in my ears today and I wanted to share it with all of your lovely people. The band have a new album entitled Perfect Trip coming out the first of the year on January 29th.

New Music from Darlings

This week is full of awesome rock n’ roll releases, and the copy of Darlings‘ new EP that came in my inbox today just adds to that list of great pop tracks. Be on the lookout for their Warma EP, which definitely brings traditional pop rock back to our ears. This first single “Big Girl” does have a bit of a Weezer resemblance, back in the heyday of course, but don’t just be satisfied with this one little track, as there is much more vibrant rock coming from this band in your very near future.
