Last Week’s Jams (9.1 – 9.5)

There were some that covered more than us, and there were others that didn’t quite cover as much, but I’ll admit, feel like us only hitting 14 songs in a week was just scratching the surface of what came out last week. Still, we had Meritorio Records crushing the week’s end with new tunes from Strange Passage and the Wesleys. My personal favorite tune cranking out in under two minutes was that new jam from Teenage Tom Petties. Good to see the Apartments back too, so we ran the first single from their forthcoming LP, not to mention peeked back at the latest LP from The Fisheremen Three. It’s a quick run through this week, so make sure you crank it up and enjoy the ride!

Another One From Ghostwoman

Our pals from north of the border GHOSTWOMAN have a remarkable new album coming out tomorrow and it definitely should be on your list of things to pick up and listen to over the weekend. As you anticipate the one day waiting period, the band just offered up one more tease in the form of this hot single called “5 Gold Pieces.” This duo is truly crafting some downright dirty vibes with heavily distorted guitars, frantic drums, and an overall feeling of urgent, distorted blues rock. Hit me with more of this.

Last Week’s Jams (5.27 – 5.31)

In one of those weeks that magically felt longer than it was, we managed to cover a fair amount of ground, cranking out coverage of at least 20 new tunes for you. Add to that B. Gray’s excellent Kilby Block Party footage and the Levitation Announcement, and, well, we seem like we have our shit together! I loved that there was new stuff from Ryli and Autocamper, both giving me little doses of my pop fix. There was a lot of new stuff, too, that scratched a different itch, with Fortunato Durutti Marinetti announcing a new LP, coinciding with a fresh track from the new Tropical Fuck Storm LP. A bit all over the map, but in the best way. Let us know what you loved the most.
