Lavender Blush Announce Debut LP

It feels like Lavender Blush has been working towards this LP since their self-titled EP dropped in 2016; and now we’re prepared to hear the band’s full-length, The Garden of Inescapable Pleasure. The band toy with us for about 15 seconds, mostly getting their feet under themselves; they hit that 16 second mark and the jittering of distorted guitars immediately start rioting through your speakers. The rhythm section does a great job of building that kick-up your shoes dance floor bounce while Ryan Lescure croons atop the mix; the chorus allows him to give off a little more of a disaffected melody that kind of makes you feel like you’re spinning in circles staring at the cloudy sky. The debut LP is available this November via Shelflife, with this new single streaming everywhere on Friday!

New Music from 3108

3108 has a decent resume with some powerhouse labels like Jigsaw Records or Trouble in Mind, but at the moment it seems that Kyle Hill is out on his own, so he’s offering up a few samples of the next LP he hopes to drop. Right away there’s this infectious fuzz with this twinkling pop vibe working behind it; it sort of feels like twirling with the snow falling happily upon your face. I love the late keyboard solo in the song’s latter half, providing this playfulness that gives the song an added vitality that’s often overlooked. There’s a couple of more tunes HERE if your’e so inclined.

Sit Back and Enjoy The Crookes

I’ve mentioned UK band The Crookes several times before on our website and the band has always been hovering a bit in that not huge yet should be area. Today I think the band may be breaking out with this new single “The World is Waiting”. This is truly a brit pop gem here with some incredible, driving guitars and this overall sense of urgency permeating through. I’m seeing a lot to be enjoyed here.

The Crookes will drop Lucky Ones via Modern Outsider on January 29th.
