As many of you probably now, the UK band we grew to love last year Stricken City have decided to call it quits. Â Fortunately for fans of the band, they recently released their final album Losing Colour this month on Kora Records. Â Sure we may be a bit late on posting this, but we feel like we owed it to the band to pay homage to some of the sweet tunes they created. Â Enjoy new single “Some Say” below.

London’s Stricken City are known for their avant garde videos and the beauty of their lead singer, but now with the release of Songs About People I Know awaiting release on November 3rd it’s time to focus on the music. Â You can feel the bounce immediately here, and Raa’s sex-kitten vocals make it difficult not to fall for this song.

DC band Pree are a new band to us and are fairly new to the music game as well. We get tons of press releases everyday and it’s nice when we find something that really catches our ear like this band has. The self described sound of Pree mixes “Regina Spektor style narratives, Isaac Brock’s vocal stylings, haunting folk, and a remarkable command of words”. That sounds about right to us. Their debut EP A Chopping Block can be bought on itunes or in physical form on the Kora Records website. We are jammin’ it hard style.
