Lutalo Celebrate The Academy Deluxe Edition with Cracked Lip
What better way to celebrate the one year anniversary of your debut album than by throwing in a few new tracks and re-imaginings of the original? Well, Lutalo and his label Winspear are doing just that, and the track below is brand new to all of us! I love how the liner notes acknowledge an adoration for Rob Crow, which is something that I adore, not to mention notice every time I listen to the guitar lines. The little melodic wiggle at the 1:18 mark adds a nice little textural touch, as does some of the more spoken vocal deliveries. If you’re into grabbing the new LP, the Academy Deluxe Edition is out on September 19th.
I’m sure you missed our weekly re-runs of all the fun stuff we post, but I was on vacation! So, I hurried this week to play catch up on all those tunes, then hurried with RayRay to get them up for your ears.
