Dreamy Rock From Tashaki Miyaki
Tashaki Miyaki may not be on your radar yet, but that’s about to change quite soon. This L.A.trio are making hazy dream rock that has enough fuzz on it to soften the edges. “Girls on T.V.” is a nice slice of the kind of rock music that you’d want to hear somewhere while wearing sunglasses and sipping on a frosty beverage. The honeyed vocals provide a nice contrast to the grungey guitars, and the even-tempered beat begs you to chill out with the band for a few minutes of your day.
