Miniboone Return!

minibooneband-thumb-550x366After just doing a quick search on ATH, I’m seeing that we started posting about Brooklyn based indie-pop band Miniboone almost 5 years ago.  The band takes a simple approach to songwriting with their catchy pop melodies and all around fun vibe to their songs.  This new song, “Basic Song”, is yet another track that will prove hard to resist unless you flat out hate energetic and fun pop music.  Check it out.

New album entitled Bad Sports is due out April 20th on Ernest Jenning Record Co.

Great Dancey Pop From Miniboone

minibooneband-thumb-550x366Miniboone are releasing their new self-titled record today on Ernest Jenning Records.  To celebrate the release, the band has just made this incredibly catchy and fun new song “Baby, I Hope So” available as a free download.  As far as pop songs go, it has all the elements.  Well written lyrics, snazzy beats, some R&B style vocals, and even a break down near the end are all there.  I am in full support of this.  Enjoy.

New Jangly Pop From MiniBoone

minibooneband-thumb-550x366Seems like it’s been ages since we last heard from New York based pop outfit MiniBoone.  To be exact, it’s been about a year and a half, and that’s just too long to go without their tasty pop music.  Today we’ve picked up news from the band that they are finally ready to release their self-titled debut LP on September 10th via Ernest Jenning Record Company.  To preview the new album, the band is graciously offering up this new number “I Could, I Could” found below.  We dig the incredibly catchy sounds that these guys continue to create.

More Fun Post Rock from MiniBoone

A little while back I brought you news of MiniBoone, a group with history in art-rock, using repetitive verses and frenetic imagery to win over fans.  This newest single is very similar, at least in the beginning of the tune, sort of like old school Futureheads.  But, as the song progresses it’s reigned in a bit, organized into a fairly traditional pop spin.  You’ll definitely find yourself lost in this track, especially as the vocals begin to warm a bit.  You can find this track and several others with the band’s forthcoming EP, On MiniBoone Mountain.  It’s shaping up to be a nice bit of fun.

Fun New Jam from MiniBoone

It’s the middle of the week, and we all could probably use a bit of a pick me up, as that lull begins to creep in.  Well, for those of you with an infatuation for bits of post-punk and old school art rock, you’re going to love this jam from MiniBoone. There’s little intricate moments and there’s all out joyous moments, all which make for a great midweek listen.  You can find this track along with others from the group on November 8th with the release of their MiniBoone Mountain EP, courtesy of the fine folks over at Drug Front Records.

New Music From MiniBoone

New York band MiniBoone are offering up this sweet new track “The Other Summer” that we’ve been spinning around the offices as of late.  You can catch this jam on an upcoming 7″ set to be released later this year sometime.  We’re hoping you’ll enjoy this one as much as we have.
