One of our favorite new bands, Headlights, has a new album coming out soon. Â The album is titled Wildlife, and it comes out October 6th on Polyvinyl. This new track has a bit of a different touch, although it’s still brimming with pop, there is a certain element of lo-fi fuzz added. Â You can try out the song, and check out the band on tour this fall.

Sea Wolf has a new album titled White Water, White Bloom coming out on September 22nd here in the States on Dangerbird, and as a prelude to the release of the album, he’s offering “Stanislaus” as a bonus track for those interested. It’s definitely similar to his last release, and has that folk passion mixed with his wavering melancholic voice. Have a listen.

Amy Millan, the great voice behind powerhouses Stars and Broken Social Scene (at least back in the day) is gearing up to release a new album on September 8th titled Masters of the Burial. Â Her first single, well, it isn’t really hers, it belongs to Death Cab for Cutie, but her cover puts a different spin on the standout track. Â Have a listen.

One of those classy bros from Menomena has a new solo project under the name Ramona Falls. His record with said name, Intuit, hits stores next week on Barsuk Records, and we’ve got a new little tid bit of tuneage for you to hear. It starts out slowly, but then it bursts forth, which makes many of us salivate for the upcoming release. Buen proveche.

The Raveonettes have been around for a long long time, always sticking to their guns. Â Their newest album In and Out of Control is coming your way October 6th on Vice Records. Although they stay true to what they know, this single is a lot more upbeat with the female portion of the duo rocking it in an old school R&B sort of way. Â Based on the title of this song alone, it’s going to be an upbeat affair.

As summer draws to a close, there always seems to be a swell of folk-tinged outfits putting out releases, but none sound nearly as good as this new tune from Port O Brien. This is the first single off their upcoming album Threadbare, which should hit the streets near us on October 6th.

Or, The Whale reminds me a lot of The Dutchess and the Duke, with a little less stones, and a little more country-pop thrown in the mix. Â They have a new, self-titled album coming out on September 22nd, and we’ve got ourselves a hold on one of the new songs. Â Enough of the comparisons, let’s hear those tunes.

AU will be hitting the road soon with Why?, and as they are about head out, they’re offering up a sweet new tune to go with their upcoming Versions EP slated for release on October 8th. Â This track, “Ida Walk Away” is layered with sound, and it seemingly swirls in a condensed format before rising, and then falling again. Â Try this on for size.

Desolation Wilderness is prepping for their tour this fall, and as most bands do, they’re releasing an album to promote themselves.  This record will be titled New Universe and is going to be released by our friends over at K Records this week. We’ve got a little sample to throw at you right now!

We got word yesterday that a final street date had been announced for Music Go Music‘s new album Expressions. Â Said album comes out via Secretly Canadian on October 6th, and it features the wonderful song “Light of Love.” It absolutely reminds me of some sort of candy-pop from back in the day; the sort that recalls various montages in movies throughout history, particularly the birthday party scene in Problem Child.
