Wow. Trouble In Mind should really have no problem selling this new 7″ they’re releasing from Klaus Johann Grobe, or maybe that’s just my opinion. But, imagine the crossroads where Peter Bjorn and John meet up with Stereolab, drawing upon a relaxing sensation of pop and electronic experimentation. In the end, this A-side sounds like the perfect lounge act for those of your friends with really good tastes, working with some killer harmonies that draw you in, no matter what language you speak. It’s just a feel good tune, particularly as I’m staring out my window at showering rains. Look for it in shops on December 4th.

Free Album Streams

So many artists are beginning to realize that actually selling albums is impossible and are turning to streaming music online to possibly spark album sales. Not sure about the strategy, but this week features a slew of solid releases that you can try before you buy. Spinner is streaming loads of new releases this week like The Decemberists, Obits, the flippin’ Pearl Jam Ten re-issue, Gomez and several more. Peter, Bjorn & John are also streaming their new album Living Thing over on their myspace page. What’s your take on some of these new albums?

Swedish whistling pop band Peter Bjorn & John are finally giving us a follow up to their critically acclaimed 2006 album Writer’s Block. The boys new album will be called Seaside Rock and has a release date set for September 23rd here in the US. The album is said to be limited to only 5000 copies in the states, released exclusively on vinyl with accompanying digital downloads. A new song from the album entitled “Inland Empire” can be had below:
