Enjoy Some Shark Tape

I’m reading the title to this post and already giggling a little to myself… Shark Tape…giggle. Despite their name that makes me chuckle a bit, Philadelphia based Shark Tape is a promising up and coming young rock n roll band. Their tuneage is something like indie rock with a more upbeat and poppy vibe to it. Check out new single “Bronco” below and let us know what you think.

Shark Tape will be self-releasing Marathon on November 8th.

While browsing through the internet today I came across this great track called “Tropical Jinx” from Philadelphia based band Little Big League. It’s part rocker, part pop music with some female vocals coming in to add a bit of an edge. This one has all things good.

Pop Rockin’ with Paper Lions

When you first press play on the new track from Paper Lions, harmonies will inch along, precisely as they should in the best pop songs. It doesn’t last long, however, as the guitars speed in and up the ante on the tune’s approach; it will continue to flirt with both aspects, always maintaining the infectious melody that makes the track so successful. For those of you that find yourselves interested in this tune, and you should be, it will be on the band’s upcoming record, My Friends, which will come out on August 20th via the band’s own imprint, Fountain Pop Records.

New Synth Laden Pop From Gracie

I’m sort of in an electronic mood today as I try to groove my way into the weekend with some head nodding synth-pop music. My mood is continuing in this vein with this new pop tune “Habits” from Philly based indie band Gracie. The band has a wealth of other material over on their bandcamp page so I’m surprised that we haven’t been turned on to them until just now. My bad. A new EP called Bleeder will be coming your way March 12th via Small Plates Records.
